I am a 21 year old with a total testosterone level of 530. That happens to fall on the lower end of the range, however it is still within the range of normal. My urologist wants me to start on Androgel to boost the numbers, who feels at my age, the boost in testosterone would remain since the underlying cause for me is a varacocele lowering the testosterone.. he said i would only be on androgel for six months, and that this would NOT be a lifelong commitment as is the usual scenerio with testosterone replacement therapy…. my question, is it REALLY safe and would it be at all effective to use Androgel for six months and then be permanently brought off?

I dont understand how some men in the past used to cut their balls off for various reasons
how did these people survive
well I know you can survive, but I feel like hell like I have no motivation to do anything, how did people survive and function before hormone replacement
I imagine there were alot of suicides or people just starved to death
